The Spanish Language immersion at Els Baccus was simply fantastic from the first minute to the last. Everything was perfectly organised: the accomodation, the food, the transport and the excursions / activities. But the best thing of all was only speaking spanish during the whole week. I feel it really improved my ability to converse in Spanish, improving my ability to listen and understand Spanish at the speed that Spanish people speak and also adding more fluidity to my own Spanish speaking. The thing that helped most was the conversations with local people, be it talking to Jordi the owner of Els Baccus, Joan one of the drivers we had, Nati and Ivan our chefs for the week or, my favourite, the delightful 98 year old lady we met in Collbató, who looked like she was 78, who we stopped and spoke to for over half an hour during our trip to her village. I can’t recommend this trip highly enough to anyone wanting to improve their Spanish, you will certainly benefit from doing so in this beautiful corner of Catalonia.
